We have some Lafuma chairs and needed some more. I really like these. They may be just a few pounds heavier but they work just as well and are even more comfortable thanks to the fabric that lets air circulate around you back.

I agree. I can't see any difference. Why anyone would want to pay so much more for the same product is beyond me. Pity they don't do a full on padded version though??

Actually Peter, they are launching a padded version in July. We'll be listing it on the website soon. I've only seen pictures but it looks exactly the same as the Lafuma RSX chair - I think it's only in navy though. Ed.
